Bumrah was not in his training outfit as he joined the discussion with bowling coach Bharat Arun.

The injured Indian team held their first training session on Wednesday in Gabba, Brisbane, with the hopes of keeping 11 fit players in the fourth Test match of the series against Australia.

Out of the final Test with a stomach strain, Pace Spearhead Jasprit Bumrah was still with the visiting team for his training session.

The likes of Rohit Sharma, Shubman Gill, Captain Ajinkya Rahane and others were seen in his training kit.

However Bumrah was not in his training outfit as he got involved in a discussion with bowling coach Bharat Arun.

“After an epic battle in Sydney, it is time to regroup. We have started our preparations for the final test at Gaba!” BCCI posted on its Twitter handle.

Chinaman bowler Kuldeep Yadav was seen bowling at the nets and there is a chance that he could be picked for the match in which the impressive all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja had a fracture.

Seamer Shardul Thakur and all-rounder Washington Sundar were also part of the session. Either T Natarajan or Shardul are likely to replace Bumrah in the playing XI at Gamba, which will lead to a facelift with Mohammad Siraj and Navdeep Saini.

Bumrah sustained a stomach strain during the third Test in Sydney.

Head coach Ravi Shastri, who supervised the proceedings, addressed the team.

Shastri was also seen discussing with the rest of the support staff, which includes batting coach Vikram Rathore and fielding coach R Sridhar besides Arun.

Ishant Sharma and Bhuvneshwar Kumar were ruled out before the start of the Test series due to a series of injuries on their tour of Australia to India.

Mohammed Shami was unable to take part in the series after the first Test due to a broken hand, while Umesh Yadav was ruled out with calf muscles in the last two Tests.

Ravichandran Ashwin and Hanuma Vihari battled through pain to help India pull off an incredible draw in Sydney and their participation in the final game is also not certain.
