Bhopal: To draw Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s attention to the oxygen crisis in the state capital – as well as across the state of Madhya Pradesh – three Congress Party MPs gathered at the statue of Gandhi located at Minto Hall.

The number of corona patients in the state has grown by leaps and bounds, rendering hospitals unable to cope with the huge crisis of beds, as well as oxygen.

Dharna day, “Hamari Sanse Lota Do” (“Please breathe again”), was observed, attended by MPs Jitu Patwari, Arif Masood, PC Sharma and Kunal Coudhary. They took empty oxygen cylinders with them instead of Gandhi’s statue.

Speaking to the media, Patwari said: “In the crematoriums they are not getting enough wood to perform the final body rites and the hospitals are in desperate need of oxygen and beds.” He alleged that BJP leaders routinely made false statements about the “pathetic” situation in hospitals. He added: “Now we ask the Prime Minister to take charge of the deteriorating standards and infrastructure of the state health services and ask him to arrange for oxygen and hospital beds. . “
