Gold gained between ₹ 97 and ₹ 46,758 per 10 gram on Tuesday in the nation’s capital, according to HDFC Securities.
In the previous trade, the precious metal closed at ₹ 46,661 per 10 grams.
Silver also jumped from ₹ 1,282 to ₹ 70,270 per kilogram to ₹ 68,988 per kilogram in the previous trade.
In the international market, gold was trading slightly lower at $ 1,788 per ounce and silver was stable at $ 26.90 per ounce.
“Gold prices edged down, with COMEX (New York-based commodity exchange) spot prices trading at $ 1,788 an ounce on Tuesday,” according to HDFC Securities, senior analyst (commodities), Tapan Patel.
