SRH’s statement indicated that David Warner might be ruled out of the playing XI.
Sunrisers Hyderabad on Saturday removed David Warner from the captaincy and handed over the reins of the team to New Zealand captain Kane Williamson for the rest of the Indian Premier League (IPL).
Under Warner, SRH have lost five of their six matches as the Australian is not in the best form in the ongoing edition.
SRH said in a statement, “Sunrisers Hyderabad want to announce that Kane Williamson will take over the captaincy for tomorrow’s match and for the remaining matches of IPL 2021.”
“The team management has also decided that they will change the foreign combination for tomorrow’s match against Rajasthan Royals,” he said.
West Indies captain Jason Holder is likely to replace Warner in the playing XI. Warner scored 3, 54, 36, 37, 6 and 57 in his six innings.
“The decision has not come to light as management has had an impact on David Warner’s franchise for years. The statement said that when we face the remainder of the season, we are sure that David is both on and off the field. Will keep striving for success.
