Suzuki Motorcycle India Pvt Ltd (SMIPL) on Monday reported sales of 77,849 units in April 2021, up 11% from 69,942 units sold in March this year.
The company’s April sales of this year are not comparable to the same month last year when sales were hit due to the nationwide lockdown imposed to curb the coronavirus pandemic outbreak.
SMIPL said in April this year that its domestic sales were 63,879 units, while exports were 13,970 units.
“It is very satisfying that despite all the challenges associated with the second wave of the COVID-19 pandemic in April, we have achieved 12% organic growth and exceptional 57.5% growth in our export volumes – See the same month in 2019, ”said SMIPL Managing Director, Koichiro Hirao.
