Stalin said the people gave the DMK a sixth term to rule because they believed the country and the people would be safe.
DMK Chairman MK Stalin said on Sunday that the new government that would be formed under him would in fact be led by those who aspired to an ideal government for Tamil Nadu.
“Tamil Nadu announced the victory of the DMK. The state will win thereafter, ”he said in a statement.
Thanking the political leaders, the chief ministers of various states, religious leaders, film personalities and industrialists who congratulated him on this victory, Mr. Stalin said that the leaders of the alliance parties who, ideologically , stood side by side to fight the election also deserved to be appreciated.
“I will stay honest with you and work for you. My thinking and my actions will always be for the good of people, ”he said.
Mr Stalin said the people gave the DMK a sixth term to rule because they were convinced that the country and the people would be safe under the rule of the party, which had safeguarded the Tamil language and the state.
“We wanted to form the government when our leader Kalaignar (Karunanidhi) was alive. But time has overtaken us. We have worked hard to make the dream come true. Victory is a reward for our work, ”he added.
