Two other people wanted for shooting a 50-year-old man in Hathras whose daughter was sexually harassed by the main defendant, who is still at large, have been arrested, police said on Wednesday.

The victim was reportedly gunned down by Gaurav Sharma and his friends after another altercation over the 2018 sexual harassment case filed by the former against the latter.
In June 2018, the victim filed an FIR against Gaurav Sharma for “chedkhani” (assault or harassment, police superintendent Vineet Jaiswal said in Hathras. In July of the same year, Gaurav was sent to prison and released in custody. bail after a month., added the officer.
Following the police complaint, there was still blood between the two families, police said.
On Monday, as Gaurav Sharma’s wife and maternal aunt went to a village temple for the puja, they got into an argument with the victim’s two daughters, who were already there, during the previous incident. of sexual harassment, the SP said.
Gaurav Sharma and the victim quickly reached the place and there was a heated argument between the two, Mr Jaiswal said.
Enraged, Gaurav Sharma called boys from his family and shot the victim, police said.
