Mumbai: Kurar police arrested two men for stealing a two-wheeler from Malad (E), which was later given to the main accused’s girlfriend as a token of love. Both defendants were convicted under the relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code for theft and common intent. A two-wheeler, MH-74-AR-3438, was reported stolen in Malad (E) on January 2. Subsequently, a case of theft was recorded and the Kurar police opened the investigation. As part of the investigation, police examined the area’s CCTV footage and saw two men involved in the crime. Police also noticed that the accused duo came to the scene in a four-wheeled vehicle.

Investigations revealed that the car was owned by a cabin aggregation company. Kurar police then approached the company and asked for details of the vehicle, which revealed that the car was driven by 22-year-old Nalasopara resident Pradip Upadhyay. Based on this information, Pradip was arraigned for investigation, in which he confessed that he and his brother Sarvesh, 19, had stolen the vehicle. Sarvesh was subsequently arrested as well.
